Wassily Kandinsky (1866 - 1944) lived and worked also in Germany and France. Together with Franz Marc, he was cofounder of the art movement `Der Blaue Reiter`. During the German Weimar republic, he was a teacher at the German art school `Bauhaus` in Weimar, Dessau and Berlin.
