After studying art, he initially worked as an illustrator for the American Museum of Natural History. Then he started creating his own dinosaurs and other characters. Ed Heck developed his art from his passion for music and prehistoric wildlife. His lifestyle, unpretentious and simple, also corresponds to his painting style, which is characterised by a reduction to the essentials, seasoned with a dash of clever humor. His trademark, the shaky black outline, ‚Life can be fun', is the motto.In February 2011 Goebel successfully entered the world of Pop Art with the launch of the Romero Britto range. Ever since, Goebel succeeded in enthusing contemporary artists to work with porcelain and glass. Great paintings and daring designs become objects of perfect craftsmanship.
