During the subsequent tempering process, the so-called cold gold is gently burned in by slow heating which prevents damage to the gold and obtains the desired brilliance.The story begins around the 1960s, when modelers from Goebel sculpted the first angels in creative development processes. Then as now, handcrafted clay models and hand-painted figures were created. Especially Goebel's Christmas collection includes different characters, such as heavenly messengers, cheerful snowmen, forest animals and luck bringing chimney sweeps. Inspired by the Christmas spirit, the change of year and the winter season, every handcrafted detail is an expression of warmth and quality.
